Julia Breed

Julia began her studies in Boston, earning a B.S. in Cell & Molecular Biology and an M.S. in Biotechnology from Northeastern University before spending several years conducting research in the biotechnology industry. With a background in novel gene delivery strategies and genetic medicine, Julia is now focused on further developing synthetic cell technology at Imperial College London. Her project with the Elani Lab aims to confer synthetic cells with long-distance communication capabilities using exosome-based signaling and to explore their use as potential therapeutic agents.
