Synthetic cells in controlled non-equilibrium conditions

Our research aims to develop an automated microfluidic platform for high-throughputbiological experiments and analysis. The system will be versatile, enabling studiesacross various biological systems such as cells, vesicles, and coacervates. One key application is the quantitative analysis of membrane reservoirs in lymphocytes, which store excess membrane in surface wrinkles and protrusions. We aim to scale thesystem to handle up to 1,000 cells per experiment while ensuring the method remainssimple, robust, and easily adaptable for diverse biological investigations.
